Standard of Conduct
Students are expected to abide by these Standards of Conduct throughout their enrollment whether at home, school, or elsewhere. Students found to be out of harmony with this school's ideals of work and life may be invited to withdraw whenever the administration determines that it is necessary.
Students pledge to uphold the school's Standards of Conduct and act in a very orderly and respectful manner. They will maintain Christian Standards in courtesy, kindness, morality, and honesty, and strive to be of unquestionable character in dress, conduct, and other areas of life.
Students agree to abide by the above Standards of Conduct and other regulations expected of each student enrolled in this Christian School while they are students attending the school, and agree not give the impression to other students, parents, or faculty that they are not in harmony with the goals, aims, and standards of Yucaipa Christian School.
YCS desires that healthy, Spirit-guided, Christ-honoring relationships are developed. The relationships that Christians have with each other are to be so unique, displaying Christian love, that others will comment on its supernatural character (John 13:35). The Bible is filled with many "One Another" commands which reflect the principle of love in action (bear one another's burdens, stimulate one another to love and good deeds, pray for one another, encourage one another, be devoted to one another, show forbearance to one another in love, preserve the unity of the Spirit (Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 10:25, James 5:16, Hebrews 3:13, Romans 12:10, Ephesians 4:2-3).
The Kingdom of God leaves no room for any type of harassment. Christians have a calling to live above "tearing down" or "getting back at" one another. Let us evaluate our words and deeds according to the criteria of building one another up (Ephesians 4:29; Colossans 4:6) and pursue the better way: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves" (Philippians 2:3).
