Family Service Program

YCS requires family involvement and support of the school through Parent Participation hours and Scrip purchases. Scrip is a fundraising program that benefits YCS, helping to keep tuition costs low for all students. Profit is tracked by family but is not credited toward specific family accounts. Requirements for the Family Service Plan are:

• 30 Parent Participation hours during the school year (15 hours for a single adult household).
• Participation in the Scrip program for a total profit to the school of $150.00. (Approximately $2,500 of Scrip purchases. Profit is calculated by the percentage donated to the school by the vendor; percentages vary by vendor.)
• Scrip profit exceeding $150.00 may be credited for up to 15 hours of Parent Participation Hours at the rate of one hour per $12 profit.
• Hours and Scrip proceeds are reviewed on a quarterly basis. In the event that appropriate effort is not made throughout the year to stay on track with these requirements, families will be notified and a $500 buyout fee will be posted to their tuition accounts.

Rather than complete the above participation requirements, families may choose to buy out of the Family Service Program upon registration. The buyout fee will post to the family tuition account.
