Hot Lunch Program
YCS offers hot lunch every full school day. Students must be signed up and paid at least 3 days in advance to receive hot lunch. For the 2010-2011 school year, hot lunch costs are as follows:
- Preschool: $4.00; snacks included with program costs.
- Kindergarten: $3.50 per meal
- 1st-3rd Grade: $3.50 per meal
- 4th-6th Grade: $4.00 per meal
In addition, milk and water are available for purchase for $0.50 every day. Please send money with your child in a sealed envelope.
YCS offers a 10% discount for students signed up to eat every day for a full month. We require a three-day period to ensure that the correct amount of food is prepared, with minimal waste. Sign-ups after that point will incur a $1.50 charge for each day within the three-day window.
All hot lunch charges and payments will appear on monthly tuition statements. Our hot lunch staff keeps track of which children eat each day. If your student is absent for any reason on a day he or she was signed up, you will receive a credit on your statement (credits are posted on a bi-weekly basis).
